Dr. Angella Faith Montfaucon (nee: Lapukeni), a Malawian national, is an economist with current research interests in the fields of international trade policy and exchange rates. She is in the 2019 cohort of the renowned World Bank's Young Professional Program, working on the East Asia and Pacific region.

Angella is also an active researcher, currently a non-resident research fellow at the Southern African Institute for Economic Research (SAIER) and a junior fellow at the Pan-African Scientific Research Council. Angella holds an MA in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia and a Ph.D. in Economics from Yokohama National University, in Japan and has published in the areas of financial inclusion, exchange rate pass-through,  and trade policy.

Apart from Economics, Angella is also a songwriter and Christian  rapper, radio presenter, and inspirational figure, giving talks on important social issues. The events are featured on her Talks and Events page.
